Keshaun Williams

Keshaun Williams was 15 years old and living in Cleveland, Ohio when he disappeared on June 17, 2023. He was a teenager who stayed connected with his family; his grandmothers Mary Williams and Alona Miles have said he called them every day. Alona had been planning to pick him up that evening. His mother Sherice Snowden has described him as her child who had no business being out there without his parent.

Keshaun is described as a Black male, approximately 5'7" and 130 pounds, with black hair worn in braids and brown eyes. Everyone who knew him has said that if he were alive and able to reach out, he would have. His grandmothers said he would have come to them. His mother said he called her to say he was on his way home the night he disappeared and never arrived.

He would be 17 years old today. He has never been found.

01
Background

What We Know

On the evening of Saturday, June 17, 2023, Keshaun Williams attended a house party in the 6000 block of Gertrude Avenue in Cleveland's Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood, near Fleet and Gertrude Avenues. Multiple people at the party later confirmed seeing him there. Around 10:30 p.m., his mother Sherice Snowden called him and asked him to come home. He told her he was on his way. He never arrived.

Investigators believe Keshaun was last seen walking away from the party and entering a dark-colored SUV with a group of juvenile males, believed to be between two and four individuals. The identities of those juveniles have not been publicly established. Foul play is officially suspected. Deputy US Marshal Vincent Piccoli has stated that investigators received early information suggesting Keshaun was kidnapped and that there was some kind of retaliation involved, and that over the course of the investigation he would absolutely characterize foul play as involved.

Keshaun was reported missing to the Cleveland Police Department on June 20, 2023. An Ohio Amber Alert was subsequently issued. It remains active. As of 2025 it is the longest-running active Amber Alert in Ohio's history; 34 of the 35 children issued Amber Alerts in Northeast Ohio since 2014 have been found. Keshaun is the only one who has not.

Investigation

The Investigation

The Cleveland Police Department and the US Marshals Service have been jointly investigating Keshaun's disappearance since June 2023. Deputy US Marshal Vincent Piccoli, who took over the case in November 2023, has stated publicly that foul play is involved and that investigators received early information suggesting Keshaun was kidnapped as part of some form of retaliation. Persons of interest have been identified in the case, though no arrests have been made and no names have been publicly released.

The key lead as of late 2024 is that Keshaun was last seen walking away from the Gertrude Avenue party and getting into a dark-colored SUV with a group of two to four juvenile males. The identities of those individuals have not been confirmed publicly. Investigators have stated they believe Keshaun is still in the Cleveland area, though no confirmed sighting has been reported since the night of June 17, 2023.

Keshaun's family has been actively involved in the search, engaging directly with investigators and the public throughout the two years since his disappearance. His mother Sherice Snowden and grandmothers Mary Williams and Alona Miles have all spoken publicly and continue to call for anyone with information to come forward. The Amber Alert remains active. The investigation remains open and ongoing.
